Hello everyone! This is our second newsletter, and we have some great updates for you guys! God has answered many prayers and has helped us figure a lot of stuff out.

We've been accepted onto Staff!

It's official, YWAM wants us on staff and has an incredible place for us. They prayed about it for a long time alongside us, and everyone has felt the Lord's hand upon it and had peace. So, what are we going to do on staff, you might ask? Great question! We're excited to share...

Launch Circle

We originally applied for the worship department because that's where we're skilled, but God had other plans. After our interview with the worship leaders, Abby and I both felt unsure and had doubts. Later that week, they told us they didn’t think the worship team was the right fit for us. I was shocked, but I was grateful for that closed door because God opened another opportunity!

A few days later, a new department reached out to us, believing we would be a good fit. We had no idea what the Launch Circle was, but during the interview, we couldn't stop smiling as we learned about it. The ladies interviewing us were especially excited when they learned Abby is skilled in administration and expressed how much they wanted us on the team.

We'll be working with veteran missionaries, serving those taking breaks or on sabbaticals, and helping train new missionaries. The department focuses on active YWAM mission work, sending, maintaining, and refreshing missionaries worldwide, as well as teaching young missionaries at the Colorado Springs base.

We'll also attend prayer times, interceding for active YWAM missionaries—sometimes lasting up to four hours! I'm really excited about these meetings. Additionally, we'll participate in weekly meetings about the Launch team's projects.

My favorite part of this department is hosting retreats for missionaries in East Asia. Twice a year, our team hosts retreats to give missionaries a break, where we lead worship, prayer, and minister to their needs. I look forward to learning more and sharing this with you.

Though this is our primary focus at YWAM COS, we'll also serve in other ways to maintain the base—serving food, cleaning, lawn work, and more. We can also occasionally rejoin the worship team if needed.

Support Raising Update

Since we've been accepted onto staff and have filled out all the paperwork, all that we need now is financial support. YWAM is requiring us to keep them updated on our support raising. They require staff who are married to raise $1,600 a month. Abby and I are hoping to raise $2,500 a month, but we can live off the smaller amount if need be. I urge everyone who is receiving these updates to please pray and consider giving monthly to YWAM so we can do ministry there with the long-term goal of preparing for Japan. If you have prayed and know God wants you to give financially, we request that you text us the amount you would like to donate and specify if it's a one-time donation or a monthly commitment.

We are at $215 a month right now and are seeing very slow results from our meetings. Most people have been saying they'll pray about it or they can't support us at the moment. We trust in God's provision and that he will get us the funds we need, but one way you can help is by sharing our Facebook and Instagram content. Also, we will be contacting various churches this next week and need recommendations! If you attend a missional-minded church that you think might support us, send us their info and maybe mention us to your mission board. Let them know our need!

Other Updates

The website now has our mission statement, and our new About Us page is up. You can read about our hearts for missions and our theological beliefs. Our support page still doesn't have the link to give, but it has what we've raised and what we still have to go. We will have the link to give next week.

We are moving to Colorado Springs the first week of September. We are making plans with housekeeping for an exact day.

Prayer Requests

Pray that people would be moved to give and that God would provide all the monthly support we are asking for. Pray against all the fear that has been trying to creep into our minds and the temptation to be angry when things don't progress at the speed we want them to. Pray that we would remember when God provided and that we would be courageous as we pursue what we know the Lord has called us into.

Engagement

Our mission's Instagram is marriage_and_missions, where we post updates, informational videos, and fun content. It is a great fun way to stay connected and learn about us and YWAM.

If you’d like to learn more or meet with us, you can schedule a meeting through our website either online or in person.

If God is leading you to give, email me at isaiah03jr@gmail.com or text us at

+1 (605) 390-8076 and send an encouraging message along with the amount so we can document it for YWAM!
